Since receiving a Word A Day Calendar, I’ve decided to write a short something including my new word each day.

quodlibet

ˈkwäd-lə-ˌbet

1 :  a philosophical or theological point proposed for disputation; also :  a disputation on such a point

2 :  a whimsical combination of familiar melodies or texts

I’d say many of Donald Trump’s positions were quodlibets, but I don’t think he cares as much about debate as about noise.
